During the fiscal year July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011, Madonna's RDP admitted 135 new patients. Of these, 36% were referred from outside referral sources and 64% came from Madonna's inpatient programs, as part of the patient's continuum of care.

Diagnosis: Patients had the following types of conditions:

OUTCOMES

Madonna's RDP utilizes several measurements to assess the outcomes of persons served. There are no national benchmarks for rehabilitation day programs. The outcomes described below are outcomes for all RDP patients discharged between July 1, 2010 and June 30, 2011.

On average, patients came to Madonna for 20 days for their RDP.

The following is from individuals contacted at 6-12 months after inpatient discharge:

• 94.3% reported maintaing gains
• 26.7% reported re-hospitalization, most for new, planned or unrelated illnesses/injuries
• 77.9% of those who were working or in school prior to their illness or injury reported returning to that activity
• 73.5% reported being able to return to homemaking roles
• 59.4% were able to return to driving

100% of patients rated their overall experience as "Excellent" or "Good". 100% strongly agreed they would recommend the program to family or friends.
