Ekso GT Robotic Exoskeleton represents a fundamentally new way to help patients relearn to walk again. The Ekso is a wearable bionic suit that enables patients with any amount of lower extremity weakness to stand up and walk over ground with a natural, full weight bearing, and reciprocal gait pattern. To activate the walking motion, the user shifts his or her weight to engage the sensors in the device, which then initiates steps. Battery-powered motors drive the robotic legs, replacing any deficits in neuromuscular function that make walking possible.
