The outcomes described below are for all inpatients who were 18 years or younger, all diagnoses, discharged from the Alexis Verzal Children’s Rehabilitation Hospital between July 1, 2012 and June 30, 2013.
At discharge, most children and adolescents needed someone to supervise them when caring for themselves, walking or getting around in a wheelchair.
The average length of stay: 36.6 days
It is common for adolescents and children who discharge from an inpatient rehabilitation hospital to continue to receive therapy services as an outpatient.
Last year, most adolescents and children (100%) were able to return to school.
Patient/Family Satisfaction: 100% of inpatients or their family members rated their overall care at Madonna as "Excellent" or "Good."
