The outcomes described below are outcomes for outpatients 18 years or younger with varied diagnoses discharged between July 1, 2010 and June 30, 2011.
Last year, most adolescents and children were able to take care of themselves, communicate and either walk or use a wheelchair with some supervision. Some required adaptive equipment to help them be independent.
Patient/Family Satisfaction: 94% of outpatients or their family members rated their overall care at Madonna as "Excellent" or "Good.”
Many adolescents and children who have had a disabling injury or illness require therapy on an intermittent basis.
Information from a telephone survey done 6-12 months after their adolescent or child was discharged from MRH revealed 97% of children and adolescents returned to work or school.
