Outpatient Outcomes

The outcomes described below are outcomes for outpatients 18 years or younger with varied diagnoses discharged between July 1, 2010 and June 30, 2011.

• Last year, most adolescents and children were able to take care of themselves, communicate and either walk or use a wheelchair with some supervision. Some required adaptive equipment to help them be independent.
• Patient/Family Satisfaction: 94% of outpatients or their family members rated their overall care at Madonna as "Excellent" or "Good.”
• Many adolescents and children who have had a disabling injury or illness require therapy on an intermittent basis.
• Information from a telephone survey done 6-12 months after their adolescent or child was discharged from MRH revealed 97% of children and adolescents returned to work or school.
