Seizures on her 17th birthday sent Dani Cota to Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha where she suffered a stroke. She couldn’t walk, her left side was damaged by the stroke, and barely talked. Dani spent her summer vacation at Madonna: physical, occupational, speech, and pool therapy. The hard work paid off.
In the fall, Dani returned to the field with the Lincoln North Star High School color guard team. As the captain, we can’t think of a better leader than Dani. The high school senior was elected homecoming queen and her future is shining bright.
