It is our vision that all burn survivors reclaim their lives, return to their home, work, school and personal interests. Upon their return, their community embraces them with understanding and compassion. We see the potential in each patient and their family to manage the burn scars, both physical and emotional.
Striving for this vision, we are recognized in our region as a holistic burn rehabilitation program with outstanding outcomes through use of our continuum of care. Our clinical experts anticipate burn survivors’ needs and empower them with the knowledge and ability to manage wounds and scars. In response to acquired impairments, our team uses a collaborative approach to treatment and cutting edge, research-based interventions. Most importantly, our environment fosters trust by showing acceptance and respect for our burn survivors throughout their recovery.
Expert Clinical Staff |
Treatment by a consistent team of clinicians who each have special training in burn rehabilitation facilitates quick responses to any problems or issues, resulting in faster healing and functional improvement. Inpatients are seen daily by a physiatrist, someone who specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation, or an internal medicine physician. Physicians with other medical expertise are consulted as needed.
Space |
Designated rooms ensure privacy and easy access to exclusive showers, decrease the risk of infection and preserve each individual's dignity.
Transition from acute care |
