INPATIENTS
Madonna's Orthopedic Program is designed to meet the needs of persons with all types of orthopedic conditions, and includes multiple levels of care. The following shows the types of patients served by inpatient level of care for the most recent fiscal year ending June 30, 2007.

Ages: The average age of persons with orthopedic injuries served on ARU was 68 years old, although the average age for patients with multiple trauma was significantly less at 39. The average age of persons with orthopedic injuries served on LTACH and SAR combined was 76.
Geographic Area: The majority of inpatients served at Madonna live in Nebraska. However, as a result of Lincoln's location on a major interstate, Madonna served individuals from other states this past fiscal year, including those from Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Minnesota, Montana, Missouri, New York, Pennsylvania and Wyoming.
OUTPATIENT
Volumes: 51% of all new outpatients served during the most recent fiscal year ending June 30, 2007 had Orthopedic conditions. Conditions ranged in severity from traumatic injuries and post-surgical care to sprains and strains from everyday activities and sports injuries out on the sports field. Patients sought treatment from Madonna's outpatient clinicians for conditions affecting the following areas:
