Madonna ProActive is proud to be Lincoln's first medically based health and fitness center for all members of the community. Madonna ProActive combines a state-of-the-art facility, along with expert staff, and a holistic approach to wellness. These components, along with Madonna's expertise in helping each individual to do the things they want to do, is what makes the ProActive approach not only unique, but it creates success for our members. Madonna is known for a team approach that helps individuals reach their goals. This philosophy also extends to Madonna ProActive. Staff includes a full-time holistic nurse, registered nurse, a nurse educator, registered dietitian, member coach, physical therapists, massage therapists and exercise physiologists all available to help individuals meet their goals. EducationBe the type that gives! Madonna ProActive will be holding its next On-Going Blood Drive on Friday, December 16, 2011 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Madonna ProActive Health & Fitness Center. For your convenience, you are able to go to the Nebraska Community Blood Bank's website and sign up for the time most convenient to you. The Blood Drive will only take 20-30 minutes of your day - but can help so many! If you have any questions in regards to signing-up for a time-slot, please contact Wendy Smith-Johnsen at wsmith-johnsen@madonnaproactive.org. If you are an avid gym-goer, please plan your workout around your blood donation. The Blood Bank asks that if you work out, please do so beforehand. However allow for ample time to eat a balanced meal and drink plenty of fluids before donating. It is also recommended to avoid strenuous physical exertion and heavy lifting for 12-hours post-donation.
