Tom Jakobs, P.E., is the president of Invotek, Inc. located in Alma, Arkansas. Tom has a long history of innovative research and development into new assistive technology options for persons with complex communication needs. The Communication Center in the Institute for Rehabilitation Science and Engineering has served as a field test site for many of Invotek's innovative assistive technology development projects. Tom’s strong commitment to improving the lives of persons with severe disabilities who are non-speaking has made him a strong collaborator and a leader in the field of new assistive technology design and development.
