Madonna's Neuropsychology Department is an integral part of Madonna's comprehensive rehabilitation programs. The department includes a diverse group of neuropsychologists, rehabilitation counselors, post-doctoral residents and graduate student interns. The Neuropsychology Department serves both inpatients and outpatients, with staff members on all of Madonna's CARF-accredited rehabilitation teams: brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke and pediatrics. Our psychologists participate in team meetings, provide group and individual psychotherapy and consult with other rehabilitation clinicians.
The Neuropsychology department provides a variety of services, including neuropsychological assessment, adjustment counseling, pain management, family therapy, concussion/mild brain injury evaluation, memory testing, dementia evaluation, neurofeedback, biofeedback, behavioral management and psychoeducation.
Department members frequently serve as expert evaluators for the court system in legal proceedings, such as personal injury cases, competency evaluations and disability assessments. Madonna neuropsychologists are members of most managed care provider panels and provide services to several workers’ compensation clients.
Madonna's Neuropsychology Department is proud to be a training site for graduate students and post-doctoral residents from local and regional universities. Former student residents have progressed to outstanding predoctoral internship sites to the high quality of education and preparation they received at Madonna. Department members also teach coursework and supervise students at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
The department works closely with Madonna's Institute for Rehabilitation Science and Engineering. Department members are actively involved in generating original research in a number of areas, including youth sports concussion, neuroplasticity, holistic treatment of neurological conditions, mild TBI rehabilitation, and data-based rehabilitation team decision-making.
Several members of Madonna's Neuropsychology Department have national board certifications, the highest level of professional qualification in psychology, including ABPP and ABPN certifications in clinical neuropsychology and clinical psychology. See our clinicians' individual pages for more information about their qualifications, services and research interests.
