Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital sponsors two competitive sports teams, regularly hosts tournaments, and sponsors/supports athletes with disabilities in many ways.
Madonna Magic Wheelchair Basketball: The Madonna Magic team has been competing since 1996, and is a part of the Midwestern Conference of the National Wheelchair Basketball Association. The Madonna Magic competes against teams throughout the Midwest, including Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma. Every Tuesday evening between October and March, the Madonna Magic practices at Madonna ProActive’s accessible gymnasium. Visitors are welcome to watch.
The team welcomes individuals who might be interested in trying the sport. Invitational and/or conference games are hosted by Madonna each year.
