Background: Madonna's Adolescent & Children's Rehabilitation Program is designed to meet the needs of individuals 18 years or younger with a variety of diagnoses. The Program serves inpatients in its newly remodeled 6-bed unit. During its most recent fiscal year ending June 30, 2009 Madonna served a total of 54 inpatients who were 18 years or younger. Most were served on acute rehabilitation, but two adolescents were served on LTACH. Both individuals were 18 years old and were admitted with low level brain injury and then transferred to AR when appropriate.
Ages: Madonna serves kids with a wide variety of ages. Half of the kids served during its most recent fiscal year ending June 30, 2009 Madonna were children under the age of 15. The number of kids served kids by age groups include:

Geographic Area: Madonna serves people from a wide region. Last year 46% of the children and adolescents served at Madonna came from out of state, including Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and South Dakota.
Outpatient A total of 248 new outpatients were served, delivering over 7500 visits. Of these 16 were served in the Rehabilitation Day Program, and the remaining kids were served at TherapyPlus Main Campus location.
