Madonna established the Chairman's GOAL Awards in 1994 to honor patients for their outstanding courage and determination as they completed their rehabilitation, returned to their communities and gave back to others. Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital hosted the 2013 National Amputee Golf Association's 65th Annual Amputee & 24th National Senior Amputee Championships the week of August 11-16, 2013 at Wilderness Ridge in Lincoln, Neb. Funds raised for the National Amputee Golf Tournament benefited NAGA programs and the Adaptive Sports Program at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital.
Golfers enjoyed a great time while raising funds for great cause at the Jason Peter “All Fore! The Git R Done Foundation Golf Tournament” held Sept. 12-13, 2013 at the Hillcrest Country Club in Lincoln. Several former Husker football players and area business leaders joined Larry the Cable Guy and Jason Peter for a silent auction and tournament designed to raise funds for a pediatric activity bus for the Alexis Verzal Children’s Rehabilitation Unit at Madonna. A total of $57,000 was raised to make the bus a reality for the children we serve.
