Iowa bridesmaid fulfills vow after brain and spinal trauma

During the summer 2016 the Iowa State college student was involved in a car accident. Suffering brain and spinal cord trauma Emily spent five months recovering at Madonna’s Lincoln campus. She says keeping her promise is what motivated her each day of therapy.

Kansas teen tackles brain injury head on

15-year-old Devin Busick suffered a traumatic brain injury back in November. The Manhattan, Kansas, teen was involved in a car accident while on his way to school. Four months later, he’s back in the classroom. Mom says he’s defying the odds because, like his love for the gridiron and tackling opponents who stand in his way, “He’s been a fighter since the day he was born.”

Siouxland native gains momentum after ‘fight with a railroad train’

Doug Dickson is back home tonight, after spending six weeks at Madonna’s Omaha Campus after colliding with a locomotive. The Siouxland native received numerous injuries as a result of the accident, saying he, “Just got in a fight with a railroad train.” Doug’s hard work and positive attitude are helping to contribute to his amazing recovery. For now, the 46-year semi-truck driver has traded in his 18-wheeler for two wheels to get around town.
