2016 Mettle of Honor Recipient-Jerry Trumble
Jerry Trumble, of Bellevue, Nebraska, 55, was left paralyzed after an SUV hit him while driving his motorcycle. In rehabilitation, he learned how to do regular tasks like laundry, cooking and driving a car with hand controls. He has since returned to work and hopes to one day participate in a 5K run in his wheelchair.
