Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospitals. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak and following guidance from local health departments, we are currently limiting access to our hospitals. This has led to the difficult decision to suspend our volunteer program, including Angel Dogs. We look forward to resuming our volunteer program as soon as it is safe to do so. To explore more ways to support the mission of Madonna Rehabilitation Hospitals, visit our Foundation page.
Each year more than 300 volunteers extend hospitality and care to patients, their families and visitors. Volunteers annually donate approximately 24,000 hours in at least 50 different positions throughout Madonna.
Professionals, seniors, families and groups find that Volunteer Resources offers unique programs and service opportunities at the hospital and long term care areas. Volunteers of all ages find fulfillment working with staff as they interact with patients in therapies and activities. Individuals and families spend time visiting patients and residents, while other volunteers join the Angel Dog Program and bring four-pawed visitors to Madonna. Volunteers can be found at the front desk, delivering mail, assisting individuals to therapies and working alongside staff in the many support areas throughout Madonna.
Madonna also offers opportunities for individuals considering careers in rehabiltiation to visit our campuses and observe our clinicians at work.
Angel Dogs have been bringing a sense of being at home to patients at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital since 2000. Numerous patients and their families have been given a refreshing welcome change in routine and something different to look forward to during a day filled with therapies.
Madonna's Peer Volunteer Program matches individuals with disabilities with people who are just starting the process of rehabilitation for the purpose of listening, sharing meaningful life experiences and providing hope for the future.
Madonna welcomes a limited number of high schoolers at our campuses to observe our clinicians at work if they are discerning a career in the rehabilitation setting.
Madonna welcomes a limited number of undergraduate students at our campuses to observe our clinicians at work if they are currently enrolled in coursework to pursue a career in a rehabiltiation setting.
