Former patient recognizes 11 Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital caregivers with Angel Wings from Madonna Rehabilitation Hospitals on Vimeo.
LINCOLN, Neb. (MADONNA)--Instead of gifts for his 60th birthday, Steve Swenson asked his friends and family to donate to Madonna Rehabilitation Hospitals in appreciation of his recovery from a 2014 stroke. Steve added to the donated funds and designated the cumulative gifts in honor of 11 special caregivers through the Madonna Angel Wings Program.
“I will always be grateful for Madonna and its special employees,” Steve said. “What a great bunch of people. I have been blessed at having Madonna as my rehabilitation facility. I’ll never forget the people who helped me. Each one had a special role in my recovery,” he added.
Steve’s honorees included employees from physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and nursing. Through the Madonna Angel Wings program, a grateful patient family can make a gift to the Madonna Foundation in honor of someone who provided exceptional care.
Any Madonna employee or volunteer is eligible for Madonna Angel Wings recognition. Each honoree receives a Madonna Angel Wings pin and a certificate of merit. For information on how you can honor a Madonna nurse, therapist, volunteer or other staff member, choose a location: Lincoln | Omaha
